Project Control Manager
SectorProcess / Petrochem
If you love the challenge of actively managing multi-discipline projects, monitoring costs and reporting threats or opportunities, why not get in touch
Your Project Control skills are in demand!
You could make any number of moves. So why this one?
So, you’re already well aware that Teesside has a long-held reputation as a centre of expertise in the field of Process Engineering Design.
This is a chance to work at the heart of it all, with a well-respected, highly successful technology development business – one that’s been a presence in the area for many years and is backed by one of the world’s largest privately-held companies.
What’s more, you’d be working alongside a welcoming, dedicated team of engineers and scientists with unparalleled expertise – men and women who’ve worked for some household names in chemical engineering.
Provided you have Project Planning and Cost Estimating skills, the company is open minded about your background.
You could be working for a similar operating chemical company and looking for a change of scenery, perhaps you want to switch from a different service sector, like an EPC, we’d love to hear from you.
Find your niche
The job itself is ideal for someone who loves the challenge of actively managing the overall business resource plan. You’ll gain a full overview of how a large-scale, $multi-million production plant operates. This is your niche.
You’ll be a respected specialist in a technically innovative team. Creating and actively managing multi-discipline project programs and being responsible for project resource / cost estimates using existing established project norms. You’ll also monitor, and report earned value for projects, identifying schedule threats and opportunities.
We are not looking for a ‘Primavera’ expert in this role, however an understanding would be helpful. Most of the work is undertaken on MS Project and utilising already created advanced Excel documents. If you have experience of Aspen Cost Database, that would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
Of course, you’ll need the right soft skills too. You’re self-motivated – always looking to improve – and capable of working well in a team, with good all-round communication skills; your colleagues would recognise you as someone who’s always respectful of others.
Tick all the boxes and the company can offer a very competitive contract or salary depending on your preference. The company is based in a beautiful area on the northern edge of the North Yorkshire Moors with easy access to other areas of outstanding natural beauty including the Peak and Lake Districts. This really could be a breath of fresh air.
